BuyMe is the Isle of Man’s first e-commerce platform.

Headed by Manuel De Luque Muntaner, the peer-to-peer sales platform allows users to sell and buy a wide variety of new and pre-owned items including furniture, cars, clothing, appliances, etc.

The platform is available via its website as well as through mobile applications for both iOS and Android devices.

Through its partnered journey with TMTO, BuyMe expected to create a reputable brand presence and enhance the brand awareness of the platform.

BuyMe also wanted to enhance its social media presence to increase the number of downloads for mobile applications and registrations to the platform.

After initial meetings, we determined a specially curated strategy plan for the client including a SWOT analysis of the business. 

The real-world challenges identified and the client’s aspirations for the brand were then transformed into our marketing goals and objectives for the client’s strategy including relevant metrics with our tactical plan. 

Establish Branding & Enhance Brand Awareness

A strong brand identity was prioritised to enhance BuyMe’s brand awareness.

This was to ensure that BuyMe would stand at the forefront of its target audiences’ minds and allow more customers to engage with the platform.

We implemented a comprehensive brand strategy to make the business more recognisable for prospective buyers and sellers in the Isle of Man.

This included specific brand guidelines, SEO written content, set values, tone, etc.

Embarking on Content Marketing

Content marketing was the next step in our plan. 

The research was conducted to determine what type of content would be most effective for the target audience. 

The types of content were based on the interests and behaviours of customers and included an array of content types such as videos, articles, listings, stories, etc.

Better Data-Driven Decisions

Data-driven approaches allow us to make more informed decisions for our clients. 

Our digital marketing strategies are holistic, comprehensive and up-to-date on the latest trends and customer behaviours. 

We also created user personas, customer journey maps, paid promotion strategies, and a comprehensive social media marketing roadmap for the following months of the brand. 

Our social media marketing strategies are closely monitored monthly and we initiated changes to adapt the plan after 3 to 4 months. 

Social Media Management

Based on the research conducted, we enhanced the value of how the brand was perceived.

This included the type of content and overall social media marketing strategy.

It was essential to devise a consistent social media posting plan to ensure that the brand’s presence was made consistently aware.  

All relevant social media platforms were revamped with updated designs to provide the audience with a fresh, enticing experience of the business’s branding. 

Initiating A/B Testing

To test the performance value of our content, we ensure that our strategy is inclusive of different types of content to determine what is the most effective. 

This helps to strengthen paid promotion for the brand and improve inconsistencies in the organic performance of the brand’s social media. 

We also enhanced the user experience of our content to deliver high engagement rates for our campaigns.

After completing the prior steps in our approach, we launched our paid media campaigns through Facebook. 

The campaigns focused on enhancing brand awareness and generating website traffic.
